Here, you'll meet your safari guide and get introduced to other tourists with similar itineraries. We depart via Waiyaki Way, with the first stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can use the washrooms and admire the stunning escarpment wall. We then descend and continue through Narok town, arriving at your Masai Mara accommodation in time for a hot lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a 2 to 3-hour evening game drive. Masai Mara is renowned for the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras from Serengeti to Masai Mara between July and October. The reserve is often referred to as the "jewel" for wildlife viewing. After breakfast at the camp, you'll set off with packed picnic lunches for a full-day game drive lasting at least 8 hours. During the game drive, you'll have several close encounters with a variety of animals. Stop for a picnic lunch near the Mara River, where you'll also see hippos and crocodiles.
